Generation Xtreme / Worship Leader

Lonnie J. Chapin

Bio

Lonnie is from Bend Oregon and a graduate of Bend High School and then went on to Bethany College in Santa Cruz Ca. It was after College that a real passion for music was birthed as he does come from a very musical family. In 1991 he moved to Dallas Tx. were he played in a band that traveled with motivational speaker Dave Roever.  In his 3 years with Dave they played an average of 200 shows a year.

In 1996 Lonnie and his little brother Chad moved to Nashville Tn. and It was 3 months later that the band PETRA would ask Lonnie to be their bass player. His 5 year gallop around the world with the band took him to 23 countries in 5 continents, a Grammy award with 3 nominations, a Dove award, an inductee into the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando Fl. and Cape Town South Africa.

In 2000 Lonnie was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and one of the youngest musicians to ever be inducted. In 2001 Lonnie with his little brother Chad, Pete Stewart and Michael TAIT from DC Talk started a band called TAIT which brought Lonnie another Grammy nomination and won another Dove award.

2004 would bring his biggest accomplishment. On June 12th he married his dream girl. Tiffany Diane. And boy did the wait pay off! After they got married they moved their tent to San Diego Ca. and then to Fullerton Ca. where Lonnie has been the Worship / Music director and head of youth at Christian Life Center Fullerton since  2005.

Lonnie's relationship with his God, family, friends and his love for music are his biggest passions. Without them in that order life does not exist.
